The Primal Goddess Series evolved from my recognition of the importance of the feminine. From the perspective of the Tao and many other cultures the earth is the feminine.  Now she is angry. She has been abused by the negative aspect of the masculine which is desire for power, territory and wealth without regard for her wellbeing. Manifestations of this are global warming and a threat to our very existence as humans. Most existing cultures have relegated woman to an subordinate position and this has placed us in the difficult situation we are in today. They have disregarded her beauty, intelligence, wisdom, and perspective. My intention as artist is to show her empowered.
