OVERVIEW

Terracqueo was created by Peter Turner as an extension of his art, both visual and musical. The video was choreographed to his instrumental composition Pelle, (named for the goddess of the volcano), which was composed on the edge of Kilauea Crater on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Terracqueo (earth water in Italian) explores primal energy and the interconnection of man and nature. It explores this topic from the viewpoint of the unconscious or dreamtime rather than outer world reality. It is about the relationship of masculine and feminine energies, archetypes, and the relationship of man / woman to the natural and animal worlds. The time sequence, as in a dream, is non linear. It flows through changing symbols and transformations with the fluidity of the unconscious mind.
