The "plot" revolves around the experiences of this woman who can be seen in the
context of this piece as representing the earth and some of her struggles with
domination and abuse. The woman passes through many phases: looking, questioning,
merging, rising, attacking, and falling. The shaman reappears at critical moments,
representing the higher or awakened self. A buck, a symbol of animal man, is washed
into the cliffs by gigantic waves. This, as with many other scenes, represents
projections of the woman's psyche. The massive waves continue and then recede
into a calmer sea. The woman is seen in a gesture of prayer over waves, clouds,
and one bird flying. Ferns, leaves, earth. and water.

face. Images of sexuality and the body. A figure crawling through the grass. A
buck and a male elk. A forest dissolving into light. Next
