SYNOPSIS

The piece opens with a spoken introduction. A foggy landscape, birds, a moon image in swirling multi-colored waves. Light through trees dissolves into an ice pool as a shamanic drum beat beckons us into the water, a parallel to a shamanic trance induction. From a golden tree a patriarch appears and merges into a matriarch and back into a man. Animal, moon, cloud. and earth images leads to a dance by a ghostly female figure (Michelle Logan). Clouds, moon, a woman (Katharina Koetter) and the shaman (Peter Turner) appear.
